Parents put $200 into each child’s IEF fund for the first year of participation
Israel Education Fellowship Program
The Israel Education Fellowship Program (IEF) quadruples the money you put away for your child so that they can spend it later on a meaningful experience in Israel.
IEF is a community program, jointly sponsored by BSBI, KKBE, Synagogue Emanu-El, Congregation Dor Tikvah, and the Charleston Jewish Federation. We believe that a multi-week trip to the Jewish homeland enhances young Jews’ education and their sense of Jewish identity; the IEF program makes saving for a trip to Israel easy!

Eligibility
Students are eligible to enroll beginning in 3rd grade and must complete at least 20 hours of approved Judaic study each year in order to qualify for matching funds. Judaic study includes Addlestone Hebrew Academy coursework, a congregation’s religious school or other educational program, or organized Jewish youth group activity. To receive matching funds from the synagogue, families must be "members in good standing." To receive the Federation double match, each family must make a minimum contribution of $100 to the Charleston Jewish Federation's Annual Community Campaign each year.
